HALIFAX 3D VISUALISATIONS - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A few questions explained regarding our CGI 3D Visualisations & Animations

Please click on a question to open...

First we will arrange an initial meeting with you to determine exactly what you're looking for and what kind of 3D render you will need. From this information we will then create you a quote for your render. If you decide to go ahead with the project we would take a small deposit and then start development.
This will depend on the size of the project and what you need. In all our projects we try our very best for the quickest turn around possible. Please note however that rendering times alone can take between 1-8hrs for a single high quality render and even up to a week rendering time for larger animations.

CGI modeling, rendering and animation is a complex process which takes a high level of skill and concentration to produce such high detailed models. To create a 3D visualiation from a CAD plan or hand drawn sketch requires an experienced artistic ability, understanding and mastering of complex CGI software which can take years to master.

With this in mind we do however like to try keep ourselves ahead of the competition and therefore try keep our prices as low as possible. The prices below are guildlines for all our various services but please remember every job is slightly different and we therefore give a personalised quotation for each and every project.

Our quotations also depend on the amount of information you provide us with at the start of the project. The more information on areas such as room dimensions, floor plans, design styles, layouts, colours, textures and materials the cheaper we can make your quotation.

Interior Designs -

The quotation of an interior render such as bathroom, bedroom or kitchen would range between £450 - £600, depending on the complexity of the scene and the amount of information you provide us with. This will feature a one view finished high quality render of your design.

Additional renders of your scene in different viewing angles will be done at 50% of the original cost each, as every different viewing angle requires modification of the various textures and lighting effects to ensure the render looks as real as possible.

Exterior Visualisations -

An exterior render would range between £500 - £900, depending on the complexity of the scene, the amount of information you provide us with and the level of external landscaping around your scene such as gardens and surrounding enviroments. This price will feature a one view finished high quality render of your design.

Once again additional renders of your scene in different viewing angles, day/night lighting or weather conditions will be done at 50% of the original cost each, again allowing for the modification of textures and lighting effects.

Photomontage Visuals -

A Photomontage render would range between £500 - £1500 as these are more complex to create over a standard exterior render in order to nestle into a photo background. Prices will depend on the complexity of the scene and photo background given, and also if you require us to travel to obtain the images ourselves. This price will feature a one view finished high quality render of your design within the background image you require.

As additional renders of your scene in different viewing angles are not possible on this type of render, we will need to charge full price again if you require additional renders within additional photo backgrounds.

Animations & Walkthoughs -

Quotations on Animations & Walkthroughs will be charged at £30 per second on top of the quotation to build the type of scenes/ designs you require.

An animation around a single interior room would be priced for the cost of the model build plus the extra cost per second of the animation. A 10 second animaton around a £300 living room model for example therefore would cost £600.

Progression and product movement animations will also cost £30 per second on top of the overall quotation of the product/building model.

Virtual Tours -

Static 360 Virtual Tours will be charged at £350 on top of the quotation to build the type of scene you require. This extra cost is charged, as a render for a virtual tour is slightly more complex, as it requires the textures and lighting to be edited for the full 360 view of the scene and not just for a single angle. The scene must also be rendered to showcase the full 360 view which requires the rendering of multiple images, which are then stitched together and developed into an interactive format using specialist software.

A discount price will be given for multiple 360 view virtual tours, for example a tour including 360 views of a Kitchen, Lounge and Bedroom connected together would be given a discounted price for the size of the project.

Product Visualisations -

Product Visualisation renders could start from as little as £300 and range up to £700+, depending on the complexity of the product you require in 3D. The price for a visualisation will also reflect on the amount of information you provide us with, for example such as CAD drawings and sketches or if you would like us to create a 3D model of an existing object. This price will feature a one view finished high quality render of your design.

Additional renders of your scene in different viewing angles will be done at 50% of the original cost each, again allowing for the modification of textures and lighting effects.

2D/3D Floorplans -

Renders for a 3D floorplan would range between £350 - £600, depending on the number of rooms required and the quality to detail to furnishings you require within each room. Once again the amount of information you provide us with such as layout drawings, room dimensions, colour schemes and furnishing, the better quotation we can provide you with. This price will feature a one view finished high quality render of the 3D Floorplan.

Additional 2D Floorplans can be made from the 3D design for just the extra cost of £50. We can also provide discounted full scale renders of the rooms within the floorplan for additional costs.

Once again additional renders of your Floorplan in different viewing angles will be done at 50% of the original cost each, again allowing for the modification of textures and lighting effects for the new angles.

Chalk Sketch Renders -

Chalk sketch renders range between £350 - £500, depending on the complexity of the scene in relation to size and the number of objects. For example a Chalk sketch render of a Bedroom would be considerably cheaper than a model of a full street with many objects such as houses, cars and people. Once again the amount of information you provide us with such as layout drawings and dimentions will also effect prices.

This price will feature a one view finished high quality render of your design, however additional chalk renders to see your scene in different viewing angles will only be done at an extra 25% of the original cost each, as chalk renders do not include textures or lighting.

Geolocation -

Geolocation renders will range between £450 - £700, depending on the complexity of the model, and the amount of information you provide us with for example images of the chosen building. This price will cover the development and uploading of you're model onto Google Maps.

Communities, Landscape Architects, Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers, Developers, Real Estate Agents, Builders and other professionals who need 2D rendering or 3D visualisation as part of their design process or for presentation purposes.
CGI Rendering is a process of generating a model or scene by the means of specialist computer software, aka Computer Generated Imagery (CGI). The model or scene is created using a wide collection of three-dimensional objects which each have a defined data structure containing elements such as Geometry, Viewpoints, Textures, Lighting and Shading properties. The Term "Rendering" represents the process of calculating each object's properties into a finished digital image state.

The advantage of using a CGI render over an artist drawing/painting is that it's fully possible to make any required changes in areas such as lighting, weather conditions, paint colour or textures, ensuring that the final product matches exactly to the client's specification.

3D rendering can be used with enormous power in the building, architectural and real estate industry as it enables the ability to visualise proposed designs in amazing realistic detail to clients, showcasing to them exactly what they will get with no hidden or forgotten design specs.
Simple answer...basically anything! The software we use is specifically developed to allow us to create and render anything in solid or even liquid form, giving us the ability to render 95% of all objects you can think of.

Unfortunately at the moment our software is not built for realistic character animation or face manipulation....meaning regrettably we are no Pixar (Not just yet anyway) and therefore at the moment character/ movie animations are a step too far at this point.

Contact us with your requirements and we will provide you with a no obligation free quotation.

Phase 1 - Wireframe
After analysing your requirements, the first stage is to create a wireframe. This wireframe scene incorporates all the object elements you have specified and determines the best viewing angle to showcase the entire scene. Naturally, we consult with you regarding any changes you may wish to make at this stage.

Phase 2 - Greyscale Preview
This consists of a flat render, with all objects being pulled together into a complete scene prior to colours, textures and lighting being applied. You are given a clear view of how the finished render will look in relation to object placement, size proportions and viewing angle. Again, you are able to stipulate any changes you would like to make and we will contact you to discuss this.

Phase 3 - Colour, Texture and Lighting Preview
Once you are happy to proceed from phase 2, we next add features such as colour, texture and lighting to the render. These can include real-life images of colours and textures that you wish to be applied to objects, helping to ensure that the finished render fully meets your requirements. At the end of this stage you are provided with an example render, showing the appearance of textures, colours and lighting, etc. This example render is of a slightly lower quality and picture size than the finished product. Changes can still be made to colours, textures and lighting and we will consult with you accordingly before moving to the finishing stage.

Phase 4 - Final Render
Once you have given us the 'all clear' from stage 3, we start the full render of your scene. The process for full HD quality can take between 1-24 hours depending on scale and the number of various objects, textures and lighting effects included. Animation renders can even take up to a few weeks depending on the length you require. Once complete, you are presented with your finished render in a range of file formats, ready to wow your friends, colleagues and clients!

Completion times for 3D projects can range between a single day up to a few weeks depending on your render requirements and the time taken for the final render process.

You can contact us with your specification and we will give you a free personalised no obligation quotation and an estimated time schedule for your project.
